Suthathongthai is a multimedia artist with a background in painting. He is inspired by aspects of Thai society and culture and has used images of Thai dance and Thai architecture. Recently, his works are developed into the issue of questioning Thai mythology presented through different medium. Suthathongthai was one of the artists selected for Thailand’s Brand New exhibition in 2008.

The Work: Focusing on the process rather than the outcome, Suthathongthai experimented with working in contact with HIV+person in order to get an artistic motivation. Inspired by a photograph of a flower taken by a HIV+ person, Suthathongthai renders the challenge of beauty and significance through images of flowers disintegrating in water.
